The programme which will be delivered over 1.5 years aims to enhance awareness and knowledge among participants about LGBTQIA+ identities, issues, and the lived experiences of these communities to build a culture of understanding. Training and resources will be provided to empower individuals working with the LGBTQIA+ community to interact with empathy and informed respect creating a supportive environment. This project is under the Celebrating Cultures and Diversity Theme. Arising from the Co-design process across the District, this project should strive to bring key benefits across the entire council area including rural and urban areas.
