The agreement shall ensure that a satisfactory scheme is established for veterinary services for large animals within ordinary working hours within the duty district, so that the necessary veterinary services are available for large animals (production animals). Veterinary services are also a necessary part of the stand-by against severe infectious animal diseases and it is important for maintaining good animal welfare.
