ibilities include: • Acting as the competent person under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 • Maintaining and updating the university's safety system in collaboration with other SETU campuses. • Supporting academic, functional managers, and departments. • Assisting the campus safety coordinator in governance preparations • Undertaking risk assessments (including pregnancy and ergonomic assessments) • Delivering health and safety training (fire marshal, risk assessment, manual handling, and more) • Managing safety management software • Investigating accidents and incidents • Evaluating legal compliance and crisis management planning • Providing bespoke training for chemical, biological, and gas safety • Managing Legionella risks and conducting fire evacuation drills The advisor will also participate in health and safety committees, provide ongoing advice
