and 380kV voltage levels in large parts of Germany. The grid extends from the Danish border to the Alps and, at around 140,000 square kilometres, covers around 40 percent of Germany's surface area. TenneT is accountable for the efficient transmission of electricity over long distances via around 13,500 kilometres of high-voltage lines. This requires continuous investments in maintenance and grid development projects to reduce interference and outage as far as possible and thereby ensure quality and stability. TenneT is hence responsible for several grid development and maintenance projects with national and international reach and notice. For TenneT, security and a stable and high network availability have the highest priority. To achieve this, the organisation must be managed in an efficient and targeted manner. Objective of the qualification system In the frame of extensive transformation processes, which are currently realised in TenneT, and which are planned to be continued, TenneT faces numerous strategic tasks and challenges in the foreseeable mid- and long-term future.
