green and digital transition and for boosting the resilience and competitiveness of the EU’s energy intensive and net-zero technology manufacturing industry. The centre should identify and analyse technology and innovation trends and developments in the energy sector and in other relevant domains (e.g. digital, mobility, industry, circular economy, cities, homes and buildings) and provide recommendations to the European Commission on policy responses, in the form of priorities for strengthening competitiveness, research and innovation, regulatory actions, as well as engagement with key (existing and new) stakeholders.
