ect "Strengthening the efficiency of drinking water and sanitation services in Burkina Faso" is a technical cooperation project implemented by Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is part of the German Cooperation program "Drinking Water and Sanitation Supply in Burkina Faso", which also includes financial cooperation measures implemented by the German development bank KfW. Since 2024, the project includes a multi-donor-action "Improving sustainable and resilient drinking water, hygiene and sanitation services in the Hauts-Bassins region" (PASEDUR-WASH) jointly financed by the European Union and the BMZ. The overall goal of the action is to improve access of vulnerable population groups in the Hauts-Bassins region to sustainable drinking water, hygiene and sanitation services
